Purpose:This document explains the process of giving the priority for absence deduction in deduction rule.
Over View:
Whenever employer deducts the absences from employee’s quota. The deduction should happen in the following way. Assume employee as the following quotas.
Quota1: Annual Leave (Code-11).
Quota2: Casual Leave (Code-12)
Quota3.Sick Leave (Code-13)
If the Time Administrator deducts the quota through info type 2001, initially the absence deducted from the Annual Leave Quota. If the quota exhausted then it should deduct from the Casual Leave and then Sick Leave.
This can be achieved by configuring the Counting Rule and Deduction Rule. The series if following steps will take to the objective.
Step1: Create three or more absence Types according to the requirement.
Table: V_T554S
Step2: Maintain Entry Screens and Time Constraint Classes.
Table: V_554S_O
Attendance/Absence Indicator: A
PS Grouping: 77
Screen Number: 2001(As it is quota Deduction)
Step3: Define Counting Classes for Periodic Work Schedule
Table: V_T551C
Maintain the counting classes as “7”
Step4: Define Counting Rule:
Table: T556C
Maintain the counting rule as follows. Tick the week days according to the Periodic work schedule.
Holiday Class: 0 Not a Public Holiday
Day Type: Work According to Work Schedule
Counting Class: Maintain” 8 “
DWS Class: 1
Conditions for absence: Tick both “<1 Day” and “Full Day”
Quota Multiplier: 100% Days or 100%Hours (If you want to book absence less than one day)
Planned Hours: >0
Here we are configuring the system, to consider absence on “Holiday Class: 0 “i. e. not a public holiday, to take it according to the weekly offs and working days in Work Schedule. Daily Work Schedule “1” as a working day
Step5: Assignment of Counting Rule to Absence Type.
Table: V_554S_Q
Assign the counting rule to absence type as and tick the Quota Deduction Option.
Step6: Define Absence Quotas
Table: V_T556A
Define the Absence Quotas with the Time Measurement Unit Days and Time Constraint Class “1”.
Step: 7 Define Validity and Deduction Interval
Table: V_T559D
Maintain the Validity period for one year
Step8: Define Deduction Rule for Absence Quotas
Table: V_556B_R
Define the deduction rule as follows. Maintain the absence quotas according to the priority order the way it has to be deducted. Select deduct priority as "Priority1", and "Ascending” Order as in the screen shot. Tick the radio button of “Sort All Other Quota Types in Order”
Step9: Assigning Deduction Rule to Counting Rule.
Table: T556C
Assign the Deduction Rule 568 to Counting Rule.
Step10: Apply Absence in 2001
By whatever the leave we are applying through 2001 info-type, it will deduct based on the priority we mentioned in the V_556R_B table.
We are applying Sick Leave first, but first it will deduct Annual Leave only because of the priority in the table V_556R_B.You may the same in 2006 info-type.
Info type: 2001
Out Put: 2006 Info type
Even though we are applied Sick Leave first, but first it Annual Leave has been deducted because of the priority in the table V_556R_B.
